Duch Gor is our first tatra sheepdog and came to live with us, at the age of 8 weeks. He comes from a litter of 4 dogs and was born in Poland. Duch Gor means spirit of the mountains, after an old Polish legend. It is said that people who got lost in the mountains were brought back to the right way home by this spirit. We feel this name fits exactly with him. Right from the start he was a very friendly and sweet dog. He is a great way to cope with all the other housemates, including our two cats,  his son Kochany and Zibah his granddaughter. He has a very quiet attitude in handling things and does everything in its own way. Sometimes he is stubborn and cocky. Showing a real Tatra character. In his time he can act very macho. but when the ladies are in sight, he throws in all his charms to please them.

He is free of hipdisplasia and eyediseases.
